In this Summit Area Local Education Class students will:
- Review basics of OWTS and process during the transfer of title/point of sale/ major remodel i.e. Use Permits.
- Get a basic understanding of private well maintenance and the Summit County Environmental Health Department’s testing.
- Learn about the dangers associated with chronic radon exposure and testing best practices.
Instructor: Seth Danner
Seth Danner is a Colorado native and is currently an Environmental Health Specialist II for Summit County Public Health, Environmental Health Department. He graduated from Colorado State University in 2013 with a B.S. degree in Environmental Health Sciences. Seth has been responsible for the private well testing program since the spring of 2015, when he began working for Summit County. Being a small department Seth also serves as the backup inspector for childcare centers as well as the pool plan review and inspection program. When Seth is not inspecting restaurants in Breckenridge his time is taken up by permitting, reviewing designs, and inspecting installations of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems, OWTS, throughout the county.
